April Marks 65th Anniversary for Miracle-Ear

Minneapolis Company is Celebrating 65 Years of Sound

Plymouth, MN (PRWEB) April 01, 2013 - The world has changed dramatically since the founding of Miracle-Ear in 1948, but they still stay true to their traditions and roots. ?We are very excited to celebrate our 65th Anniversary,? said Diana Beaufils, Sr. Vice President Miracle-Ear. ?It highlights our extensive company history, as well as our commitment to new and existing customers for many years to come.?

In April 1948, WWII aviator turned electronic innovator, Kenneth H. Dahlberg, developed the pillow radio for hospital patient?s private listening. When his employer rejected the idea, this inspired the founding of Dahlberg Company. Within three years, the company converted a movie theatre into a manufacturing facility where a receiver and transmitter were combined to produce the first in-the-ear hearing aid: Miracle-Ear.

As time evolved, Dahlberg Company established itself as a leader in the hearing industry. The company continually partnered with other electronic companies to produce innovative hearing aid solutions. On August 28th,1999, Dahlberg Company was acquired by Amplifon, the world?s largest hearing aid distributor. Less than four months later the company officially changed its name to Miracle-Ear?.

?From day one, Ken Dahlberg had a vision to continuously push human communication to the next level of excellence. He believed human communication was more than technology or science but it also meant connecting and reconnecting people with their lives,? said Beaufils. ?His initial vision led to several foundational principles that still remain strong today.?

  • Customer satisfaction - With over 1,200 locations nationwide, Miracle-Earis committed to providing a premier customer care package. The package includes an exclusive satisfaction guarantee, product warranty, and lifetime care promise.
  • Dedication to technology leadership ? Miracle-Ear is a leader in hearing aid technology offering a full range of custom-fit, invisible and nearly-invisible hearing aids, while continuing to set the standard for innovation and cutting edge design.

?Dahlberg built a hearing aid brand that our franchise owners are proud to offer customers daily,? said Beaufils. ?Despite changing business environments, Miracle-Ear has withstood over 65 years, while staying true to the founder and his vision of innovation and superior customer service.?
